PLOVER, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A $50,000 piece of machinery is missing in Portage County and you are being asked to help find it.
A tractor was taken from a farm field in the Town of Plover during the overnight hours of July 12.
A worker had parked the John Deere model 7400 tractor on the southeast side of the field and found it missing when he showed up the next morning.
Deputies from the Portage County Sheriff’s Department were called in to investigate, said Mike Lukas, Portage County Sheriff. “Our deputies could see the tractor was driven out of the field, down an embankment, and onto County Highway F,” Lukas said.
The green-colored tractor is described as having a roof and no cab, with yellow tires and those in the front are small.
