KRONENWETTER, WI (WSAU) – Families searching for a chance to escape the extreme temperatures this weekend can attend a free splash pad event hosted by the Kronenwetter Fire Department.
According to a Friday Facebook post by the department, starting on Sunday, July 28, from 1 to 3 p.m., firemen will provide free hot dogs and lemonade at Towering Pines Park, which is located at 2355 Tower Road in Kronenwetter.
Water will be sprayed onto the grassy field from Ladder Truck 1’s bucket via hoses on top of the truck, and the department reminds everyone to bring towels, chairs, sunscreen, and plenty of water to drink.
As of now, weather forecasts predict a hot and mostly cloudy day for Sunday, with temperatures reaching 81 degrees and the possibility of a stray shower in the afternoon at 15%.
