MADISON, WI (WSAU) — Two Wisconsin Badger Winter Sports have announced their 2024 non-conference schedules.
Men’s Hockey has scheduled four non-conference series against Lindenwood University of Missouri (Oct 11th-12th), at Denver University (October 25th-26th), Alaska-Anchorage (November 29th-30th), and Long Island University (January 17-18, 2025).
The Lindenwood, UAA, and LIU series will be at the Kohl Center. Wisconsin’s final two non-conference games will be at the annual Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off in Milwaukee, where the Badgers have drawn Ferris State (MI) in the first round. They’ll play Alaska-Fairbanks or UConn in the championship or 3rd place game.
Wisconsin has also scheduled an exhibition game against Nebraska-Omaha. That game will honor former Badger Assitant Coach Mike Kemp, who also served as Head Coach for the Mavericks.
UNO will be naming their home ice after Kemp before the exhibition.
Women’s Basketball will open the season with an exhibition game against UWSP on October 29th. Regular season play begins November 5th against Wright State from the Horizon League. Wisconsin also has home dates against Georgetown, UW-Milwaukee, and UNO during November.
The Badgers will play their first road game at South Dakota State in Brookings on November 13th. They also have a road date with Butler at the historic Hinkel Fieldhouse in December and three games at the Cancun Challenge in Mexico.
The Big Ten slate for both teams will be announced later this summer.
