WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Woodchucks rolled over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 17-3 on Wednesday night at Witter Field. They banged out 18 hits.
The Chucks were undefeated against the Rafters in Rapids scoring 57 runs in those games.
Wausau scored eight runs in the 3rd inning to break the game open early. Colin Bruggemann and Max Soliz Jr hit home runs in the game. They each had three RBIs in the game.
Travis Lutz started pitched five scoreless innings giving up just one hit with 7Ks and two walks.
The Woodchucks, now 18-7 in the second half of the season, host Thunder Bay tonight at Athletic Park.
