(WTAQ-WLUK) — Wisconsin can expect another tight presidential race this November, that’s according to the most recent Marquette Law School Poll.
The poll was conducted July 24-Aug. 1, 2024, interviewing 877 Wisconsin registered voters, with a margin of error of +/-4.6 percentage points. The poll included 801 likely voters, with a margin of error of +/-4.8 percentage points.
The survey found former President Donald Trump had 50% support while Vice President Kamala Harris at 49% among registered voters.
When looking at a multi-candidate race among registered Wisconsin voters, Harris was at 45%, Trump at 43%, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at 8%, Libertarian Chase Oliver at 1%, Green Party candidate Jill Stein at 1%, Constitution Party candidate Randall Terry 0%, and independent Cornel West 0%.
When those polled were asked if they would have voted for President Joe Biden if he remained in the race and 42% said they would, while 47% said they would vote for Trump and 10% said they didn’t know.
The poll also revealed that favorability rose for Trump following the July 13 attempted assignation.
And in Wisconsin’s Senate race, the poll finds among likely voters Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin receives 51% of the support and her Republican challenger Eric Hovde with 45%.
