CLEVELAND, OH (WSAU) – The Packers won their first pre-season game on Saturday, 23-10, over the Browns.
Quarterback Jordan Love started the game, and was in for only three plays. The first was a hand-off. The second was a completed pass for a loss of 1-yard. Then he threw a 65-yard touchdown pass to Dontayvion Wicks. Love’s afternoon was over after the touchdown throw. Sean Clifford took over once Love exited. He was 10-of-19 for 119 yards.
It was Love’s first live action since signing a $220-million four-year contract extension.
The Packers kicking competition between Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph remained highly competitive. Carlson kicked field goals from 46 and 33-yards. Joseph had a 35-yard field goal.
Rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd left the game with a hamstring injury. Defensive back Robert Rochell suffered a shoulder injury.
