Northwoods League
MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Woodchucks opened the Northwoods League Playoffs with a 5-1 win over the Madison Mallards at the Duckpond on Sunday.
Jake Berkland homered and drove in three runs. Drew Berkland and Max Galvin had the other RBIs.
Travis Lutz started and picked up the win with five innings giving up one unearned run on four hits. Caleb White tossed four shutout innings with six Ks.
The Woodchucks will host Game 2 tonight…first pitch at 6:05 at Athletic Park.
