WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A four run 5th inning proved to be the difference as the Madison Mallards beat the Wausau Woodchucks 8-5 to even their playoff series at a game apiece Monday night at Athletic Park.
Drew Berkland had three RBIs for the Chucks. Brayden Marks and Bryce Carter got roughed up on the mound giving up seven earned runs on eight hits through five innings of work.
The two teams square off again tonight in Wausau. Game time is 6:35.
