MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers scored four unearned runs and beat the LA Dodgers 5-4 on Wednesday night at American Family Field.
After falling behind 3-0 in the first, the Brewers tied it with three of their own in the 2nd off Walker Buehler who had been activated earlier in the day. Jake Bauers had a homer in the inning.
After the Dodgers tied the game at four in the 7th, the Brewers got the eventual game winner when Joey Ortiz was hit by a pitch, bunted to 2nd and scored when Mookie Betts misplayed Jackson Chourio’s single.
Joel Payamps picked up the win in relief, Devin Williams notched his 2nd save.
The Brewers broke a three game skid and are 8 1/2 games up on the Reds and Carinals in the Central Division. They play the Dodgers again today…pre game show at 12:35 on WSAU.
