MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers will be without Christian Yelich for the rest of the season.
Yelich announced Thursday he will have surgery on his ailing back. He said in a video that the surgery “was just the best option that we really had left”.
Yelich was enjoying a resurgent season in 2024. He led the National League in batting average and on-base percentage when he went on the injured list in late July.
