SHAWANO, WI (WSAU) — A plea and sentencing hearing has been scheduled for a Shawano County man accused of nearly 100 gun and drug-related offenses.
Kyle Matsche faces more than 70 counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ten counts of possessing or delivering a silencer.
Officers were led to Matsche earlier this year when family members called for help, saying the 34-year-old was threatening to harm himself or others. It’s suspected that he was high on drugs at that time.
Investigators then found numerous guns including an AR-15-style weapon with no serial numbers. Nearly 50 long guns, two dozen handguns, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and fentanyl-laced drug paraphernalia was also found.
Matsche returns to court on November 22nd for a plea and sentencing hearing. Charges against him carry between five and six years in prison each
