HUDSON, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – The former Hudson elementary school teacher is suspected of engaging in a sexual connection with one of her fifth-grade students; nine further charges have been brought against her.
Madison Bergmann, 24, is now facing eleven charges, including child sexual abuse, inducement, and sexual misconduct by school personnel in relation to her relationship with an eleven-year-old student.
A total of 53 notes between Bergmann and the student were found during a search warrant of his possessions at the school, according to the updated criminal complaint that was filed last week.
According to investigators, between December of last year and April of this year, the two exchanged 35,429 text conversations. “Dude, I love you so much more, like I didn’t think it was possible, but oh my God, today during reading,” said one of them from Bergmann.
To try to come to an agreement with the state, her attorney and the prosecutors met on Wednesday. Bergmann is still free on bond and is not allowed to speak to minors with her next court date scheduled for September 26th.
