WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – Several area teams opened their high school football seasons on Thursday night.
SPASH, the defending Valley Football Association champions, began their season with a loss to Chippewa Falls, 36-21.
D.C. Everest opened with a home loss to defending Division III state champions Rice Lake, 44-17.
