GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers are entering the 2024 season with high expectations from fans and players, including the team’s franchise quarterback.
During an interview with the Scoop City podcast on Thursday, Jordan Love discussed the “elevated mindset” that this year’s team has after a year of growth in 2023 saying, “Last year, there was a lot of question marks with everybody on our team. We had a lot of young players and guys trying to prove themselves. Now, guys kind of made names for themselves, and teams know what we are about. Our mindset is definitely elevated as a team in the locker room.”
“The goal is definitely an NFC North championship and a Super Bowl. We set the goals high, and we are trying to show up every day and be able to go out there and compete to that standard,” Love continued.
With a 9-8 record, Green Bay earned the final Wild Card berth and advanced to the postseason. Love established himself as the team’s franchise quarterback during the regular season by throwing for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and only 11 interceptions. Before losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round, the Packers shocked the No. 2-seeded Dallas Cowboys on the road in the Wild Card Round.
On Saturday, August 24, 2024, at noon, the Green Bay Packers will play their third and final preseason game at Lambeau Field against the Baltimore Ravens as they get set to face the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil in their first official game of the 2024 season.
