APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — A Wisconsinite made baseball history Monday.
Back in June, a game between the Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays was suspended due to a rainout. That game was scheduled to resume on Monday.
In the meantime, Blue Jays catcher and Appleton native Danny Jansen, who played in that suspended game, was traded to the Red Sox.
Jansen was in the starting lineup for Boston in the Monday completion of that game, making him the first Major League player ever to play for two different teams in one game.
