GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — A last second 45 yd field goal from Brandon McManus led the Green Bay Packers to a 24-22 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
McManus had just been signed by the Packers this week to fix their spotty kicking record this season.
The Packers trailed 19-14 at halftime but the defense held the Texans to just a field goal on the second half. That field goal with under two minutes to play had given the Texans a 22-21 lead.
Jordan Love was 24-33 for 220 yards and three touchdowns. Tucker Kraft, Dontayvion Wicks and Josh Jacobs caught the TD balls.
Romeo Doubs had eight catches for 94 yards. Jacobs had 76 yards rushing on 12 carries.
Punter Daniel Whelan had another good day averaging 56.8 yards on five punts.
The Packers, now 5-2, will play at Jacksonville on Sunday.
