WAUSAU, WI. (WSAU-WAOW) – Wausau is joining the holiday spirit Friday with the annual Holiday Parade. The parade kicks off at 6:30 in Marathon Park. The route will head down Stewart Avenue and end at the 400 Block.
Alissandra Aderholdt, the Executive Director of Wausau Events, says this is her favorite event of the year. She says, “Just seeing all the joy on everybody’s faces and all the kid’s excitement when they see the pretty floats. A lot of companies and businesses in the area go all out in decorations and trying to create cheer, and I just feel that’s needed in today’s world.”
Additionally, from 5 to 7, there will be a warming celebration in Washington Square, complete with cookies, Santa, and the lighting of the Christmas tree.
