ANTIGO, WI (WSAU) — Investigators say drugs may have played a factor in a deadly two-vehicle crash that occurred in Langlade County on April 18th.
The April 18th incident killed 40-year-old Matthew Johnson, from Washington, and Victoria Reetz, 56, a local resident. Investigators say Johnson’s vehicle drifted across the center line and collided head-on with Reetz.
Both drivers were taken to a local hospital and died from their injuries.
Investigators say there is reason to believe that Johnson was under the influence of drugs, though a full toxicology report has not been completed.
