STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — A Portage County man has pleaded not guilty to felony counts for attempted homicide, aggravated battery, and mayhem.
Justin Wojtalewicz entered the plea on Thursday. Investigators accuse him of shooting Ryan Wojtalewicz in the leg during an argument.
Ryan was hospitalized with severe injuries. There’s been no update on his condition since the mid-March incident.
Justin, 42, also faces counts for recklessly endangering safety and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He’s being held on a $1 million bond.
Further court action is scheduled for June 26th and August 1st, the latter date being a final pre-trial conference. Judge Patricia Baker has scheduled a week-long jury trial for August 11th through the 15th.
