Donte Eubanks
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A plea and sentencing hearing for Donte Eubanks was delayed Wednesday.
The 25-year-old is facing multiple felony counts stemming from a complaint by his girlfriend’s daughter, who said he was sexually assaulting her. While looking into the sexual assault allegations, they found multiple firearms and drug-related paraphernalia.
The case was scheduled for a plea and sentencing hearing on July 2nd, but court records show that it was delayed to August 20th. No reason for the delay was entered into the records.
He faces more than 60 years in prison for the most serious charge, first-degree child sexual assault. The case had been scheduled for trial, but the sides announced a potential deal this spring.
Eubanks was previously convicted of child sex crimes in 2015, meaning he faces additional prison time as a repeat offender.
