Wausau Woodchucks
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Wausau Woodchucks beat the Kalamazoo Growlers 9-4 on Wednesday night at Athletic Park in Wausau.
The Chucks trailed 2-0 in the 3rd inning when they plated five runs. They added four more in the 6th inning to pull away.
Dylan Schlotterback drove in three runs for Wausau. Noah Malone, Max Soliz, Dom Rodriguez, Cade Baldridge and Christian Smith-Johnson also had RBIs.
Zach Wyatt picked up the win giving up two runs over six innings. Reece Clapp got the save with a scoreless ninth. Clapp’s ERA is a miniscule 0.52 on the season.
The Woodchucks play in Madison tonight. The Wausau Ignite softball team returns to action tonight with a home game vs Madison.
