Legion Baseball
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Area American Legion Baseball teams will begin a quest to earn a trip to State Tournaments as Regional Tournament play begins at three levels around the state.
Area teams begin AAA action in Wisconsin Rapids on Tuesday. Wausau will face Plover at 5pm. DC Everest will play Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids will take on Stevens Point, both at 7:30. Play will continue in the double-elimination event through Friday.
The AA Regional begins on Thursday in Minocqua. First round action has Medford playing Minocqua, Antigo facing Eagle River and Merrill plays Rhinelander.
In A level play, Stratford will host one regional starting on Friday. Osseo will play Whitehall and Stratford faces Fall Creek. The other A level regional is in Marathon. Wittenberg, Tomahawk and Marathon are the three teams involved there.
