Wausau Woodchucks
ASHWAUBENON, WI (WSAU) — The Green Bay Rockers beat the Wausau Woodchucks 8-4 to take game one of their Northwoods League playoff series on Sunday.
The Rockers built a 5-0 lead after five innings. Wausau rallied with four runs in the sixth but couldn’t complete the comeback. Josh Arquette and Zach Knowlton had RBIs for the Chucks.
The best of three series now shifts to Wausau for game 2 tonight with first pitch set for 6:05
In the other playoff series, Traverse City beat Kalamazoo 6-1, Mankato topped St. Cloud 2-1 and Duluth took down La Crosse 6-2. All the winners lead one game to none.
