KRONENWETTER, WI (WSAU) — Officials in Kronenwetter have announced the resignation of Village President David Baker.
Baker won the role during the 2025 spring election, defeating Aaron Myszka by 18 votes. Incumbent Chris Voll failed to make the general election, finishing 3rd in the February primary.
Clerk Jennifer Poyer accepted his resignation letter on October 9th, creating a vacancy on the seven-person board, which will be filled through an application and interview process.
Those interested in serving should submit their application by November 7th at 10 AM. Applications will then be processed, and all qualified applicants will be interviewed by the six remaining members of the Village Board.
The Board will then vote one person into the seat. The successful candidate will serve the remainder of Baker’s term, which runs through April 2027.
A copy of the application can be found here. Completed applications can be dropped off at Village Hall or emailed to Poyer at jpoyer@kronenwetter.gov.
