LAC du FLAMBEAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Authorities have a suspect in custody following a targeted attack in Lac du Flambeau. The incident occurred last Saturday afternoon.
Law enforcement from the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Police Department and Vilas County Sheriff’s Department responded to a possible homicide report. They found an unconscious victim with severe head trauma. The victim was airlifted to a medical facility for treatment. It’s not clear the current condition of the victim.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are currently available. Officials assure the public that there is no danger to the community.
