WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation, and Forestry has announced that the portion of the Mountain Bay Snowmobile trail, which opened earlier this month.
Officials say the trail will close at midnight Sunday, eight days after it opened. The move will leave no open snowmobile trails in Marathon County.
A release from the department says all trails will remain closed until further notice. Off-trail riding, or riding on closed trails, is considered trespassing and can result in the loss of trail access and/or citations.
