WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Marathon County is shutting down three zones of snowmobile trails, effective immediately.
Zones 4, 5, and 6 have been closed due to deteriorating conditions, according to a news release from the Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department.
Trails in Zones 1, 2, and 3 remain open, but riders should use extreme caution due to trail conditions. They also advise riders to stay off closed trails.
