Iilee Pederson
MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) — A Marshfield woman accused of stealing nearly $120,000 from the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Marshfield has entered a not guilty plea to the charges.
Iilee Pederson is accused of making unauthorized withdrawals from the group’s checkbook, then depositing the funds into her own accounts and covering up her actions by issuing redacted bank statements to the board.
Investigators say the withdrawals happened between June 2022 and June ’24. When she was confronted with the irregularities, she said she took the money because a relative was having financial trouble.
Charges were filed in mid-September, and a judge found probable cause for a trial in November. The 39-year-old is free on a $50,000 signature bond with several conditions, including a full no-contact order with the charity and restrictions on working with charitable groups. She is also not allowed to leave the state without prior approval.
Pederson is facing 11 counts, including money laundering, issuing fraudulent records, and theft in a business setting. The most serious charge carries a maximum sentence of 12.5 years in prison. If found guilty on all counts, she faces up to 50 years in prison.
Further court action is scheduled for March 11th. Trial dates have not been set.
