Lyndsey Brunette
NEILLSVILLE, WI (WSAU) — The ink has barely dried on the results from the latest State Supreme Court election, but one Judge has already turned her sights on the 2027 campaign.
Lyndsey Brunette, who has served as a Clark County Circuit Court Judge since 2018, announced her candidacy in a video message. She says she has spent her career fighting for the people of Wisconsin, presiding over thousands of cases.
“Every person who enters a courtroom is seeking the same thing: fairness, justice, a system they can trust. That’s the kind of court I want to protect for every Wisconsinite, and for my own family,” said Brunette. “Whether it’s protecting personal healthcare rights, safeguarding voting rights, or supporting public safety, we need to protect a majority on our state Supreme Court who will fairly and impartially uphold our laws.”
She previously served as Clark County Corporation Counsel and successfully ran for Clark County District Attorney in 2012. She began her career in the Hennepin County, Minnesota, District Attorney’s office.
Brunette is running to replace outgoing Justice Annette Ziegler, who will not run for a third term.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. Judge Brunette lives with her husband, Jake, and their five children in Neillsville, Wisconsin.
