MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Garrett Mitchell’s solo home run in the seventh inning lifted the Brewers over the Guardians, 2-1.
Cleveland had just tied the game in the top of the inning. Mitchell hit the first pitch from reliever Hunter Gaddis over the center field wall.
The Brewers led 1-0 earlier in the game after Brice Turang’s solo home run in the 4th.
The Brewers have won 3 of their last 4, and lead the Cardinals in the NL Central by 4 1/2 games.
The series against Cleveland continues Wednesday night at 6:05pm on WSAU. Brandon Sproat (1-4) is scheduled to pitch.
