John Stalker
STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The man accused of stealing underwear from multiple women in the Stevens Point area made a court appearance on Wednesday
John Stalker entered a not guilty plea to felony burglary during the hearing. Officials say he broke into the woman’s home and emptied her underwear drawer, leaving all of her other belongings behind.
Security camera footage from a nearby home helped officers identify Stalker. He was arrested a few days later and charged with burglary and felony bail jumping, which stemmed from a previous stalking case. Officers noted that they found the 21-year-old victim’s underwear in his possession, along with underwear belonging to another possible victim.
During a search of his home, officers also found additional women’s underwear, leading them to believe there may be additional victims. Anyone who may have experienced a similar theft should contact the Stevens Point PD at 715-346-1500.
He was also bound over for trial on one count of stalking a victim who is under the age of 18. Further court action is scheduled for August 10th and September 21st. He is being held in the Portage County Jail on a cash bond.
