PHOENIX, AZ (WSAU) — The Brewers overcame a short start from Kyle Harrison to defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-4 in 11 innings Friday night.
Brice Turang and Jake Bauers each recorded three hits. Turang added two RBI on a single in the 11th, scoring Christian Yelich and Jackson Chourio.
William Contraras finished 2-6. Garrett Mitchell recorded one hit, a two-run home run in the second inning.
Reliever Grant Anderson earned the win after starter Kyle Harrison struggled into the 3rd inning, allowing five hits and three earned runs. Chad Patrick followed, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing just one hit while keeping the Diamondbacks off the board.
Anderson allowed one hit and one unearned run over two innings to close out the game.
