Milwaukee Brewers
MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers are bringing back one of their former bulk pitchers as they continue to look to add depth to their bullpen.
According to FanSided’s Robert Murray, Bryse Wilson, who was recently designated for assignment by the Chicago Cubs and elected free agency, has agreed to a deal to return to the Brewers.
During his 2023–2024 tenure with the Brewers, Wilson pitched 181.1 innings with a 3.42 ERA and 143 strikeouts in 87 games. Since then, he has pitched for the Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and most recently, the Cubs. In nine MLB seasons, he has also pitched for the Atlanta Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates, with a 4.86 ERA.
Wilson will provide Milwaukee with more insurance as the Brewers hope that starter Kyle Harrison, who left Wednesday’s game against the Cardinals due to elbow soreness, won’t miss any upcoming starts following the All-Star break.
