Morgan Geyser
WAUKESHA, WI (WSAU) – On Thursday morning, a woman convicted in the “Slender Man” stabbing case appeared virtually in court to hear her request for conditional release.
Last year, Morgan Geyser’s initial conditional parole was canceled following her escape from a Madison group home, and she now seeks to continue that process since being rearrested in Posen, Illinois, alongside a 43-year-old male acquaintance.
“This begins the process of getting her evaluated, and we reserve the right to amend, supplement, or withdraw it depending on the conclusions of the medical professionals,” Tony Cotton, Morgan Geyser’s attorney, told WISN.
During Thursday’s hearing, the judge appointed three doctors who had previously worked on her case to make the determination.
A hearing to review their findings has been set for November 9.
