MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Milwaukee picked up win #101 thanks to a big day from Brice Turang and David Hamilton, who combined for five hits in an 8-4 victory over St. Louis.
Turang went 5-for-3 with three RBI, including an RBI double in the first inning to open the scoring. Hamilton went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
Joey Ortiz went 2-for-3 with a walk. Jake Bauers went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
Robert Gasser pitched six strong innings but left with a no decision. He recorded nine strikeouts and allowed just one earned run. Bryse Wilson followed, allowing three hits and three earned runs in the 7th, and was charged with a blown save.
Abner Uribe would earn the win, allowing one hit and striking out one in the 8th. Trevor Megill preserved the win in the 9th.
