GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is being removed from the NFL Commissioner’s Exempt List on Monday, according to multiple reports.
Jacobs was arrested in May after an altercation with his then-girlfriend. He was charged with two misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property in August, and later pleaded no contest.
Jacobs recently filed a lawsuit to have the evidence permanently sealed. The criminal complaint against him mentions surveillance video that corroborates the woman’s statement, but it hasn’t been released to the public. The NFL placed Jacobs on the Commissioner’s Exempt List shortly after he was charged, meaning he was unable to practice but could still be paid.
Green Bay’s star running back will now be eligible to play in Week 7’s matchup against the Detroit Lions.
