Kaitlyn Hintz
SHAWANO, WI (WSAU) — An Associate Principal at Bonduel Middle and High School, accused of an inappropriate relationship with a student, is out on bond.
Formal charges were filed against Kaitlyn Hintz this week, including felony charges for repeated sexual assault of the same child, child enticement, and second-degree sexual assault.
Charges stem from a tip to the state’s Speak Up, Speak Out hotline claiming Hintz was in an ongoing sexual relationship with a female student between October 2024 and August 2025. The student, reportedly a Sophomore when the contact started, told police she liked the attention she was receiving and admitted the relationship went too far, but she does not believe Hintz deserves punishment.
Prosecutors have said additional charges against Hintz are possible in Brown County. Hintz initially denied any romantic or sexual contact with the victim, saying any meetings outside of school hours were for mental health support or safety checks. But during a second interview with police, she failed to directly answer if the two had engaged in sexual contact.
Hintz posted a $500,000 cash bond with several conditions, including a full no-contact order with the victim and the school. She has also surrendered her passport and is not allowed to leave Wisconsin without permission from the court. The judge also ordered her to have no contact with anyone younger than 18, except for incidental contact in public.
The district has placed her on leave. She’s scheduled to return to court on October 27th.
