James Radford
SHAWANO, WI (WSAU) — The man accused of killing Sabrina Radford in 2016 is now facing first-degree homicide charges.
Court records show James Radford is now facing a Class A felony count. He was initially charged with first-degree reckless homicide, but that case has been closed.
James is accused of killing Sabrina, who was his wife, then reported her death as a suicide. But investigators found multiple pieces of evidence that didn’t line up with his story, including evidence on the gun and digital evidence on Sabrina’s phone.
The upgraded charge includes domestic abuse and use of a dangerous weapon modifiers. The 40-year-old now faces a mandatory life sentence if found guilty at trial, with only the possibility of parole left to the judge’s discretion.
A not guilty plea has been entered on the new charge. His next hearing is scheduled for November 20th.
