MADISON, WI (WSAU) — Another big-time concert is coming to the UW Madison campus as Metallica brings the M72 World Tour to Camp Randall on Saturday, June 12th.
Tickets will go on sale next week, with presales beginning Monday, September 21st. General on sale is Friday, September 25th.
The announcement was part of a North American leg of the M72 tour, which begins on May 8th, 2027, at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. Camp Randall isn’t the only college football venue on the tour; the band will also play Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, and Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Division I schools across the country have turned to special events and concerts to diversify revenue streams and provide extra income outside of game-day events to help fund student-athlete NIL and revenue sharing.
This will be the third straight summer with a concert at Camp Randall. Previous shows have included Morgan Wallen, AC/DC, and Coldplay.
