RIB MOUNTAIN, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — The Wausau area Small Business of the Year awards were held on Tuesday.
Small business employees gathered at the Hilton Garden Inn for the annual event.
In the ‘Business-to-Consumer’ category, Lamb’s Fresh Market took home the top award.
Wisconsin Automotive and Truck Education Association(WATEA) won in the ‘Charitable Non-Profit’ category.
Winners from the previous years say the award challenges them to do better.
“It has a prominent place. Every Monday in our staff meeting it’s in the middle of the table to keep us humble. To make us work hard. To remember that we earned this, we deserve it, but we’re not done yet. So, the bar was raised and we recognize that and we try really hard,” Donna Ambrose, the Executive Director of The Neighbors’ Place, told WAOW TV
Other nominees for 2022 included:
Business to Consumer: Four Seasons Heating and Air, Inspired Designs LLC, Radant Advantage Insurance, and WOW Family Entertainment Center.
Charitable Non-Profit: Achieve Center INC, Good News Project, Health First Network INC, McLit: Marathon County Literacy Council INC, and The Open Door of Marathon County.
