MILWAUKEE, WI (LEARFIELD-WSAU) Milwaukee’s Jason Kidd took third place in the voting for the N-B-A’s coach-of-the-year award. Kidd received one first-place vote, and 57 total points from a panel of 130 writers and broadcasters. The results were announced Tuesday.
Kidd led Milwaukee to a 41-and-41 regular season, with 26 more wins than the previous year under former coach Larry Drew.
Mike Budenholzer of Atlanta was named the coach-of-the-year, after his Hawks finished with the best record in the Eastern Conference. He received 67 first-place votes and 513 total points. Steve Kerr of Golden State was second.
