MOSINEE, WI (WSAU) — One Central Wisconsin school Superintendent position has been filled.
Mosinee has announced that Greg Doverspike will take over effective July 1st. He currently serves as the Superintendent for the Durand-Arkansaw district, near Eau Claire.
In a statement, district leaders said they were “excited to welcome Mr. Doverspike and his family to our district and look forward to working on Mosinee’s continued success with his experience and leadership abilities.”
Doverspike will replace David Munoz who resigned at the end of the 2023 school year. Director of Curriculum Rob Way has served as Interim Superintendent for the last year. Elementary Principal Jolynn Schmidt has also assisted with some curriculum duties this year.
Mosinee was one of three Central Wisconsin districts that have been in the market for a new Superintendent in the last few weeks. Wausau is currently taking applications for its next leader after Keith Hilts announced his retirement in December. Wisconsin Rapids recently announced their superintendent Craig Broeren would leave to take the same position in St. Croix Falls at the end of this year.
