WASHINGTON D.C. (WSAU) – Following the guilty verdict in New York City’s case involving business records regarding payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels back in 2006, the Trump campaign declared early Friday morning that a record sum of small-dollar donations to the campaign had been raised.
According to a press release from the campaign, a “record-shattering small-dollar fundraising” amount was received by the campaign “following the sham Biden Trial verdict totaling $34.8 million—nearly double the biggest day ever recorded for the Trump campaign on the WinRed platform,” adding that “Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrats with their election interference political witch hunt have awakened the MAGA movement like never before.”
“Not only was the amount historic, but 29.7 percent of yesterday’s donors were brand new donors to the WinRed platform. President Trump and our campaign are immensely grateful for this outpouring of support from patriots across our country. President Trump is fighting to save our nation, and November 5th is the day Americans will deliver the real verdict,” the press release further stated.
Following the announcement of the ruling on Thursday night, the Trump campaign’s fundraising page momentarily crashed, citing heavy online traffic as the cause.
