GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Packers star cornerback Jaire Alexander says that one of the Packers’ young rising stars reminds him of a former teammate and fan-favorite player.
According to the Packers Wire, while Alexander was talking to reporters after practice, he praised second-year receiver Jayden Reed, saying, “He has full potential. He reminds me of a young Randall Cobb,” and continued by stating, “He’s hungry. When you have a young guy coming in who’s hungry for the ball, they’re going to make their plays. And you see it.”
As a rookie in 2023, Reed led the Packers in receptions (64), receiving yards (794), and total touchdowns (10); the two receivers are nearly identical in height, with Cobb at 5’10 and Reed standing at 5’11, with only a few pounds separating them, but Reed will have an even stronger second season since Cobb caught 80 passes for just under 1000 yards and eight touchdowns in his second season in 2012.
