GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – One of the best Packers offensive linemen from the 2010s has announced the end of his NFL career.
According to the Packers Wire, Cory Linsley, a 5th-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft, is calling it a career after being released by the Los Angeles Chargers on Wednesday. Linsley played seven seasons with the Packers and three more with the Chargers, played over 9,000 career snaps, and was named to back-to-back All-Pro teams in 2020 and 2021.
After signing a 5-year deal worth $62.5 million with the Chargers in 2021, he became one of the highest-paid centers of all time but struggled to stay on the field for the Chargers after being placed on the reserve/non-football illness list because of a heart issue in 2023.
