GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Packer general manager Brian Gutekunst confirmed during his end-of-season press conference on Thursday that he would like to bring back veteran kicker Brandon McManus in 2025 after he stabilized the position this past season.
“We would. Had a good conversation with him before he left. Obviously, how he solidified that journey (at kicker) we were going on. He’s a veteran guy. The thing that was so neat about being around him was not only his confidence but also his ability to adjust, no matter where we were or what weather we had,” Gutekunst said when addressing re-signing McManus.
“If we were able to get Brandon back, it would make me feel very, very good about that group,” Gutekunst continued.
On October 15, the 34-year-old McManus signed a one-year contract with the Packers. During the regular season, he made 20 out of 21 field goals, all 30 extra points, including two game-winning field goals, and hit on all three of his attempts over 50 yards.
