WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Getting a COVID-19 test in Central Wisconsin is becoming more streamlined this week.
According to a press release from the Marathon County Health Department multiple weekly community testing sites for COVID-19 have begun this week. The testing sites will be held with the help of the Wisconsin National Guard and will provide drive-through COVID-19 nasal swab testing.
Multiple community testing sites are being established across the state. Testing is available to those 5 years and older with COVID symptoms or has been in close contact with someone with COVID-19. Results from these testing sites are typically returned within 3-7 days. Registration is not required but is strongly encouraged and can be done electronically.
Counties in Central Wisconsin with community testing sites include Oneida County every Tuesday and Thursday at 4360 Highway 17 North in Rhinelander, Marathon County every Tuesday at 1308 West St. in Wausau, Wood County every Thursday at 320 Oak Street in Wisconsin Rapids, Portage County every Monday at 1519 Water St. in Stevens Point, Lincoln County every Wednesday 2004 E.10th St in Merrill, Langlade County every other Friday at 1225 Langlade Rd in Antigo, Taylor County every other Friday at 844 Broadway Ave in Medford, and Clark County every other Friday at 100 Matthias St in Curtiss.
