WAUPACA, WI (WSAU) — A third individual has been arrested in connection with the deadly explosion of a homemade device over the Memorial Day weekend
Sheriff’s officials say a 60-year-old Marion man was charged with homicide by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon on Tuesday.
That’s in addition to the 43-year-old Clintonville man and 38-year-old new London man who were arrested on Monday on similar charges.

Officials have not released the names of those involved as the case remains under investigation.
The charges stem from a homemade explosive which detonated improperly, sending shrapnel into the face of a 44-year-old Illinois man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The purpose of the homemade device remains unclear.
