WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A plea has been entered for a man who had to be tased during his 8th OWI arrest.
Brandon Scheel, age 38 of Wausau was in court on Monday for an initial appearance for a traffic stop-arrest. He pled ‘not guilty’ to charges of an 8th OWI, Battery or Threat to a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, and Disorderly Conduct.
The charges stem from a January 24th incident where he was pulled over for speeding in a 25 mph zone. At the stop, officers noticed he was intoxicated and that he was becoming violent during the stop. Scheel became so violent that officers had to taser him before taking him into custody.
