GREEN BAY, WI (MetroSource-WSAU) — Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur found his special-teams coordinator replacement, just one day after firing Shawn Mennenga.
The NFL Network reported that special-teams assistant Maurice Drayton was given a promotion on Thursday to officially take the reigns of the Packers’ special teams.
Drayton was hired in 2018 under the then-coordinator Ron Zook, first getting his foot in the door under former head coach Mike McCarthy as part of the 2019 Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship.
